If you have recently heard of affiliate marketing and all the
promises it entails of enabling you to make large sums of money rather
quickly, than I can inform you that what you have heard is 100% TRUE.
With an initial bit of smart work, knowing how and where to promote your
affiliate link, it is possible to receive large financial returns very
quickly. Best of all the money earned from affiliate marketing is
passive income (residual) in that once set up, you can receive recurring
income for the work you once did for the rest of your life.
So how does one go about becoming an affiliate? Well if you haven't already, the very first thing I'd recommend is to sign up to ClickBank.com, Paydot.com, JV Zoo, etc. These are all platforms which consist of thousands of affiliate programs which all pay a high return (some up to 75% per recurring sale)!
So once you have signed up to these platforms (as well as other individual affiliate programs run by large companies such as Dell, Apple, etc) the next step is to find use a method of promoting the affiliate links to drive traffic. The two methods which I would recommend you consider using are;
1. Blogs
2. Mobile Apps
As you'd probably be aware, blogging has pretty much become a mainstream business in its own right. Many search engines prefer Blogs to static websites due to the fact blogs can be updated on a regular basis with fresh content. So using a blogging platform like Google Blogger or WordPress, look for a niche which you would like to talk about - for example is your blog going to be about cars, pets, space travel, etc.
Once you figured this out, than set up your blog on one of the mentioned platforms. Than on the side of the blog have banners which your affiliate program hopefully provide. Make sure you pick out affiliate programs which are based around the content of the blog. So if your blog is all about dogs, have affiliate links to dog collars, dog training, etc would be perfect, whereas an affiliate link about car exhausts wouldn't be as good due to audience you are attracting probably won't generally be as interested in cars.
To gather content for your blog, you can either create the content for yourself or for quicker results, simply use existing content online - just make sure you have permission to distribute the content on your blog. Fortunately there is a lot of content out on the web which you can re-use without permission. Pretty much any YouTube video is available for reuse, as are most e-zine articles (just make sure you add recognition of the author at the bottom of the article).
Once you have about 10 posts or so, place the blog up online and low behold, you have a blog which if done correctly, lots of people will visit, use the affiliate links and you'd earn money in the process - forever. Pretty cool!
The second method which seems more complicated but is actually a lot easier in my opinion and that is to create mobile app. To do this, pick an affiliate link (personally I find affiliate links to dating, gambling or spread betting sites) to be the best for affiliate links. Then go to the site AppsGeyser and by following the instructions, enter your affiliate URL and have it converted into APK file (which basically coding for a Google Android app)
Than take your APK file and go to Google Developer (or better yet, just type into Google 'Upload my app to Android marketplace') and see the specific link to the relevant part of Google Developer which allows you to upload apps. This usually be the first in the listings going down. Than once you are on the site, simply follow the instructions, upload your APK file and when you ready to publish it (after adding in pictures of what site look like and description of what it does) publish the app.
Once you have done this, you now have a fully functioning mobile app on the Google android marketplace. Now try and get some of your friends, etc to download the app on their smartphones and if possible, leave reviews of what they thought of the app on Google Marketplace. A few of these reviews should soon get you some genuine downloads and even some people subscribing to your app/affiliate link. This soon lead to money coming your way - for as long as Google Android marketplace is around.
Do either of these methods (blogs and/or mobile apps) enough times and you'd soon have some pretty decent income coming in from your affiliate business.
